5/05/2025 Monday: Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo, holiday celebrated on May 5 in parts of Mexico and the United States in honor of a military victory over the French forces of Napoleon III in 1862, known as the Battle of Puebla. Cinco de Mayo is not to be confused with Mexican Independence Day, which falls on September 16. The latter holiday was established in 1810, some 50 years before the Battle of Puebla occurred.

When we traveled to the Southwest, the celebrations and parades were so spectacular!

I am wonder if anyone can recommend a news source?
I am disappointed that I have not seen the national protests reported or covered on traditional TV stations. I had a habit of watching news in the AM. Now, it seems The View is the only program with some current events.
I am completing my Real ID this week. I am sure that there are many out there that have run into the same issues that I have. I see the issues mostly affect anyone that has a history of name changes- so likely mostly women. I
have been denied the Real ID several times due to needing different paperwork as my original birth certificate and first marriage licence was not accepted by the DMV. I have spent hours there. The screening vlerk looks at paperwork and hives me a waiting line number then I wait 2 hours and then the clerk throws my paperwork back to me an unacceptable. I am dreading hoing to the DMV and the ling wait hurts my back. FYI, your eye Dr can give you a: Certificate Of Vision Examination that the DMV will accept in lieu of them doing an eye exam.
I hope you have a great day!
