My husband and I choose not to use GMO products. Sometime Genetically Modified Organisms have had genes inserted so they can tolerate and even thrive when sprayed with glyphosate. So if glyphosate is taken into the plant- I question how it could be washed off. We choose not to eat these products even though they are approved.

genetically modified organism (GMO), organism whose genome has been engineered in the laboratory in order to favour the expression of desired physiological traits or the generation of desired biological products. In conventional livestock production, crop farming, and even pet breeding, it has long been the practice to breed select individuals of a species in order to produce offspring that have desirable traits. In geneticmodification, however, recombinant genetic technologies are employed to produce organisms whose genomes have been precisely altered at the molecular level, usually by the inclusion of genes from unrelated species of organisms that code for traits that would not be obtained easily through conventional selective breeding.Genetically modified organisms Scientific methods that include recombinant DNA technology are used to produce genetically modified organisms.
Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are produced using scientific methods that include recombinant DNA technology and reproductive cloning. In reproductive cloning, a nucleus is extracted from a cell of the individual to be cloned and is inserted into the enucleated cytoplasm of a host egg (an enucleated egg is an egg cell that has had its own nucleus removed). The process results in the generation of an offspring that is genetically identical to the donor individual. The first animal produced by means of this cloning technique with a nucleus from an adult donor cell (as opposed to a donor embryo) was a sheep named Dolly, born in 1996. Since then a number of other animals, including pigs, horses, and dogs, have been generated by reproductive cloning technology. Recombinant DNA technology, on the other hand, involves the insertion of one or more individual genes from an organism of one species into the DNA(deoxyribonucleic acid) of another. Whole-genome replacement, involving the transplantation of one bacterialgenome into the “cell body,” or cytoplasm, of another microorganism, has been reported, although this technology is still limited to basic scientific applications.

This paper assesses the environmental impacts associated with changes in pesticide use with GM crops at a global level. The main technologies impacting on pesticide use have been crops modified to be tolerant to specific herbicides so as to facilitate improved weed control and crops resistant to a range of crop insect pests that otherwise damage crops or typically require the application of insecticides to control them. Over the 24 year period examined to 2020, the widespread use of GM insect resistant and herbicide tolerant seed technology has reduced pesticide application by 748.6 million kg (−7.2%) of active ingredient and, as a result, decreased the environmental impact associated with insecticide and herbicide use on these crops (as measured by the indicator, the Environmental Impact Quotient (EIQ)) by a larger 17.3% between 1996 and 2020. The technology that has delivered the largest change in pesticide

Dry Ingredients
2 1/2 cups almond flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup dark chocolate chips
Wet Ingredients
1/2 cup salted butter melted
3/4 cup coconut palm sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
In a medium bowl combine almond flour, salt, and baking soda. Whisk to combine, set aside.
In a large bowl cream together melted butter and coconut palm sugar using an electric mixer. Beat for 1-2 minutes until slightly frothy. Add egg yolk, full egg, and vanilla, mix until well combined.
Combine reserved almond flour with wet ingredients. Stir well using a wooden spoon. Add chocolate chips and stir well to combine.
Dough will be quite soft. Cover dough with wax paper and place in refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
Preheat oven to 325°
Remove dough from refrigerator. Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop drop batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Alternatively, form the dough into 1/2 inch balls.
Press the dough down gently with your fingers to flatten the balls slightly. Do not flatten all the way.
Bake for 9-12 minutes.
Remove from oven (the cookies will appear very soft) and place tray on a cooling rack. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. They will harden as they rest and cool.
COOK TIME UPDATE!
In testing this recipe (over 20 times) I found that 9 minutes in my small apartment oven was the perfect cook time, however since moving to a house I find that my larger oven takes 14 minutes to produce a soft chewy cookie with crisp edges. Please note: The cookies coming out of the oven will be soft and then firm up as they sit, so don't be too alarmed if they seem soft at first.
According to other rock star cookie testers, the cooking time may be longer depending on your oven. I recommend checking your cookies at 9 minutes, the bottom of the cookie should be slightly browned, but they will be soft to the touch.

Cream Cheese. 8 ounces, softened.

How To Make Baked Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers - The Recipe Method
First, slice the jalapeno peppers in half and core out the insides. I like to use a spoon to make it easy, but a knife or a jalapeno corer will work great, too.
Set the cored hot peppers onto a lightly oiled baking sheet. Just line the baking sheet.
Next, in a medium bowl, combine your cheeses and spices. Here, we're using softened cream cheese, mild white cheddar, chili powder, garlic, cumin, and salt and pepper.
Fill each jalapeno pepper with the seasoned cheese mixture. You might have some leftover, depending on the size of your peppers. Just distribute evenly.
Bake the jalapeno poppers about 20 minutes, or until the peppers soften and the cheeses are bubbly. It could be up to 30 minutes. The cheesy stuffing will be nice and golden brown.
Remove from heat, cool slightly, then dust with chili powder and spicy chili flakes.
BOOM! DONE!
You've got yourself some crazy awesome baked jalapeno poppers and they're ready to serve! Set them loose and stand back. You don't want to lose an arm in there.
Seriously, people go CRAZY for these! Beware. Really, you may want to make a double or even triple batch of these. Make friends. Influence people. With poppers.
